WEPIX
A real-time donation platform for streamers with Pix payments, OBS overlays, TTS, wallet, admin tools and low-latency alerts.
Overview
I co-founded and developed WEPIX, a donation platform for streamers focused on Pix payments, real-time overlays and a premium creator experience. I led the architecture and full product development, including public donation pages, streamer dashboard, wallet and withdrawals, OBS widgets, visual and sound alerts, TTS messages, rankings and administrative tools. The project was designed for low latency, operational reliability and competitive fees.
What made the product technically demanding?
A donation begins as a payment event but needs to become an on-stream experience quickly and reliably. WEPIX connected public payment pages, Pix processing, a creator wallet and OBS overlays. That flow crosses financial state, real-time delivery and a live broadcast where a delayed or duplicated alert is immediately visible.
What did the platform include?
I led the architecture and implementation of the complete product: donation pages, streamer dashboard, withdrawals, rankings, administrative tools and configurable OBS widgets. Creators could combine visual and sound alerts with text-to-speech messages, while operational interfaces supported the financial and moderation workflows behind the public experience.
How did the stack support the experience?
Rust and TypeScript covered different parts of the system, with Redis supporting low-latency event delivery and PostgreSQL storing durable application and payment data. The architecture had to keep transient real-time notifications separate from the financial records that required a reliable source of truth and traceable state transitions.
What does the project demonstrate?
Although WEPIX is now closed, it demonstrates full product ownership across payments, backend services, real-time infrastructure and creator-facing interfaces. It also shows the importance of designing the operational tools around a product: wallets, withdrawals and administration are as central to a payment platform as the public donation flow.
